Fabric

Virtually all toe separator socks are made from cotton or a cotton blend.

Unfortunately, cotton retains moisture which means when your feet get sweaty, they’ll stay sweaty. This can cause blisters, friction, and general discomfort.

Size of Separators

In my research for toe separator socks to help with the pain of my own Morton’s neuroma, I came across many socks that are described as “toe separators.”

However, many of these socks are more of a “fashion sock” that has separate holes for each toe (almost like a glove for your feet.)

Personally, I don’t feel that this type of sock provides the type of toe separation that is really needed to help alleviate the pain of Morton’s neuroma.

Having said that, thicker toe separator socks aren’t always able to be worn with shoes, so I’ve included a decent pair of thinner toe separator socks on this list.

They won’t provide the same separation as thicker options, but they’ll be more likely to fit with your shoes.

They’re made from 80% bamboo which makes them very soft and comfortable to wear. However, compared to my first recommendation, these socks have quite a thick toe separator.

If you have smaller feet like me (I’m a US size 6) then you may find that the material is a bit too thick.

However, if you have larger feet then these will provide the type of separation you’re looking for.

They’re made from 70% Cool Max moisture-wicking material which is similar to my favorite running socks for Morton’s neuroma. I find this material is excellent at ensuring my feet don’t get sweaty and start forming blisters when I’m exercising.

The toe separation of these socks isn’t quite as much as the other two options on this list, but that’s the trade-off if you want to have toe separator socks that fit in your shoes and are comfortable to wear while working out.

What are the Best Toe Separator Socks for Morton’s Neuroma?

The best overall toe separator socks for Morton’s Neuroma are the Original Foot Alignment Toe Separator Socks. These are the socks that I wear at home when I feel I could benefit from some toe separation.

However, they’re not really appropriate for wearing with shoes or for engaging in physical activity.

If you want to wear toe separator socks with shoes or while you’re exercising (or both!) then I recommend the AONIJIE Toe Socks.

They don’t provide as much toe separation as the Original Foot Alignment socks, but they will allow your foot to fit in your shoe, and the moisture-wicking material will help to prevent rubbing and blisters.
